To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Citizenship Status: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or refugee alien.

2. Student Status:

   • Undergraduate Students: Must be currently enrolled or accepted at one of the partner institutions.

   • Graduate Students: Must be accepted into an MS program at Auburn University, Oakland University, or Tuskegee University.

3. Academic Standing:

   • Incoming Freshmen or Current Undergraduates: Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 3.0.

   • Incoming Master’s Students: Must have a minimum CGPA of 3.25.

4. Enrollment Status:

   • Undergraduate Students: Must be enrolled full-time, defined as at least 12 credit hours per semester.

   • Graduate Students: Must be enrolled full-time, defined as at least 8 credit hours per semester.

   • Students must be pursuing a major in an eligible STEM field. A complete list of eligible majors can be found through the application link below.

5. Financial Need: Applicants must demonstrate financial need, as determined by each partner institution. Eligibility will be assessed using the same criteria that apply to federal student aid, based on the difference between the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and the Expected Cost of Attendance (ECOA).
